This is part of a mural project I designed for Huntsville High School, one of the oldest schools in the city (Huntsville) where I live. The school was being re-built and they wanted to celebrate the history of the institution as well as the students past and present. So we began with scanning lots of photos from the 1930’s to present day. I took photos of the new walls and matched the color tones to the new paint. Then, because I love mixing words and images, I wove words into the overall design. There were a total of six murals in all, each design actually wrapping several walls. The installers were incredible! Everyone was pleased, and when they had the Open House for it, people were delighted to see photos of themselves and their friends…including the mayor at the time. Must thank Lori Bates, the Interior Designer who contacted me about this project, it was so much fun!
