About MY Designs__________________________________________________
Since 1987 I have had the pleasure of being employed full time as Graphic Designer, Art Director, Creative Director and Marketing Director. During that time, I’ve been responsible for designing various types of communications, including billboards (10 years as art director at the local office of a national outdoor advertising company), truck graphics, wallscapes, murals, brochures, direct mail, in-house forms, presentations, sales support materials, print advertising, websites and yes, PowerPoint presentations.
I’ve also worked extensively with trade show design and graphics, magazine design and layout (currently I have four publications I work on), and e-marketing. My work has been recognized locally and nationally, which is always an honor and very nice, but my favorite accolades are when my clients say they have seen a positive difference in their business. Which brings me to why I started this blog. Many of my clients are small businesses who cannot afford or do not need a full-size agency or in-house marketing department. My goal is to help these types of businesses understand how intelligent and purposeful design can help their bottom line. I’m not selling anything, I am just sharing my experience and understanding. I welcome comments and suggestions on topics.
I absolutely love what I do, and can hardly consider it “work”. My awesome husband of 17 years is helpful, supportive and understanding, he has always been my hero. My children are my treasures, my mom and grandmother are my inspiration, and I thank God everyday for all that I have been blessed with.
